If I had a bar named after a seminal work of post-war German literature

then it would be in Brighton, near Seven Dials....

....I would serve amazing moscow mules and cherry coke martinis (don't knock them til you've tried them....)

...and lovely beers....

Maybe I would call it 'Billard um halb zehn' and have a massive billiard table, or 'Kindheitsmuster' and decorate it in tedium, or perhaps 'Jakob der Luegner' and go with a film theme. No, I would call it THE TIN DRUM, but there would not be an onion or any fizzy sherbet in sight.
